Tolerate Only What You Wish Repeated!
In sales, as in life, what you tolerate you encourage — not only with others, but with yourself.
Set a goal of thirty calls and stop at sixteen, and you’ve tolerated less. Your behavior will be repeated. You’re training yourself to accept less than you should.
Run a sales meeting where some people show up late and you let it slide, and that bad habit spreads to the others. They’ll realize you’re not serious.
As coaches, we see it all the time, especially with young sales managers: expectations set, some people deliver, others don’t — and nothing happens. No consequences. Over time, even the performers start to fall off.
Only tolerate what you wish to see repeated.
The gap between where you are and where you want to be is real. So is the path to closing it. If you're ready to do something about it, we'd like to talk.
