Done, not perfect!
Striving for perfection is self-defeating. Any time you set an unachievable goal, you guarantee failure — and because it’s not believable, we procrastinate. We start and never finish, and we beat ourselves up for not completing the task.
When we strive for perfection, we end with the opposite: not enough gained, not enough completed, and for certain not enough joy.
Napoleon Hill wrote: Do not wait, the time will never be just right. Start where you stand and work with whatever tools you have at your command, and better tools will be found as you go along.
As we work, we develop better ideas, we clear easier paths, we find simpler tools. Let us achieve what’s possible — let others strive for what’s not.
Done is better than perfect.
