The Power of Discomfort!

I made a suggestion to a client this week. He responded: I’m just not comfortable doing that. My reply: I get it — do it anyway. It’s the necessary action to achieve what you want.

We all desire personal growth, and to grow means to change. Change is uncomfortable — we even call them growing pains. To develop, we must leave the comfort zone, and that’s much easier talked about than done.

Change creates conflict. Conflict is uncomfortable. And that discomfort sometimes makes us quit. But how can you expect to improve if you keep doing what you’ve been doing?

Key takeaway

Improvement comes by change, not by chance. Do it anyway — that’s the power of discomfort.
