What Does That Mean?
Most of us speak in vaguely general terms — especially at the start of a new vision, a new idea, a new endeavor. Without clarifying further, we start and stop, waste time, go the wrong direction, and end up deeply disappointed with our results.
My favorite question to clarify what I want, give me direction, and keep me on track: What does that mean?
I ask myself. I ask my loved ones. I ask my clients. “I need to get healthy.” What does that mean? “I want to hire better people.” What does that mean? “I dream of financial independence.” What does that mean?
The question demands an answer — and you’ll get one if you stay quiet long enough to hear it. Answers clear the path for action. You go from sleep-inducing to fire-starting to life-changing.
