The Power of Weak Ties!

Our relationships consist of strong and weak ties. Strong ties are the people we know well — close family, friends, co-workers. Weak ties are the people we interact with occasionally, or even less often.

As counterintuitive as it sounds, it’s the weak ties who open up a whole new world. They’re our best source for new ideas, new information, and new opportunities.

Why? Your weak ties hang in different circles — different people, different places, different industries. They’re aware of the needs and desires inside those circles just as you are within yours. If the opportunity existed in your normal circle, you’d already know about it.

When you’re prospecting, or you’re looking to hire, reach out to your weaker ties.

Key takeaway

Your next opportunity is sitting with someone you haven’t talked to in a while. Reach out.

The gap between where you are and where you want to be is real. So is the path to closing it. If you're ready to do something about it, we'd like to talk.
