Normally we come in here with a totally prepared script that we’ve worked on and made sure that we edit it. But what we decided today was, we were just talking out in the office and we were talking about motivation and dissatisfaction. And we decided to do a food for thought about it because so many people don’t know what they should be focused on.
They don’t know how they should spend their attention, and back in the day, Hartman and I had that same issue, so what we decided to do was to pay attention to what we were dissatisfied with. Just absolutely anything that we were dissatisfied with, pay attention to it, and then articulate to the other one, and immediately we would start to take steps to solve that problem that was leading to our dissatisfaction. And what we found was our dissatisfaction, we used our dissatisfaction to motivate us to make a change, and then when we made the change and we had positive results, that also motivated us to keep that momentum going.
So, so what we really wanted to focus on today was pay attention to what you’re dissatisfied with. It’s a great motivator. You can use it immediately. I’m dissatisfied, I want to do something about it.
What will I do about it?
And that motivation will lead to improvement because you’ll be willing to use it to change what is dissatisfying you. So, if you want to achieve more, make sure that you pay attention to your dissatisfaction because that motivation, that kickstart to solve a problem that you’re not happy about will be enough to make progress on that one piece of life that you’re dissatisfied with and it will guarantee that you make progress and now that will motivate you even more.
