Who's The Leader?
If you’re the boss, why aren’t you more responsible? I believe in the concept of extreme ownership— leaders are responsible for everything. If you want to solve the problem, go to the leader who is in charge.
So many want to start yelling at, or about, the team. Stop! Do it the right way! If you’re a leader and you’re responsible for everything—ask what am I going to do about it? It’s your responsibility.
Where I come from, there are no bad teams, only bad leaders. To solve any problem, fix the leader.
It’s that simple. Everyone wants to deal with symptoms. That’s not what leaders do. They deal in root causes, systemic breakdowns — strategic problems.
So, when the team is failing, look to the leader. They are the root of the problem — but the good news is —they’re also the solution. To every problem! If there’s a sales problem — who’s in charge of sales? If there’s a financial problem — who’s in charge of finance? Team performance issue— who is the team leader?
If you want to solve a strategic problem that greatly impedes your business success, ask: who is the leader? There begins the solution to your problem.
